The SECOND season finale has betrayl at every turn. Klaus kills Elijah, gives Katherine his hybrid blood to save Damon and gives Stefan blood over and over and over again. Sheriff Forbes accidentally shoots Jeremy, Bonnie confesses her love for him and preforms magic in order to save him; in doing so she is told there will be consequences. Sheriff Forbes and Caroline have a bonding moment. In the end Jeremy realizes the consequences of coming back to life-Anna and Vicki.
*I need to just explain one thing for the 2nd season finale. Stefan did what he did because he felt he owed his brother, Damon, after everything Stefan has done/put Damon through. Sure it seems like he betrayed Elena and ruined his relationship just to save his brother; but I feel as though just because Elena and Stefan love each other, there was 145 years of hate between Stefan and Damon. Like Stefan said in the first season, everything started with Stefan- especially the fact that Damon turned because of Stefan. Stefan did what he did with Klaus because he OWED Damon*
